The Three G's

The Glory, The Gold, The Girls (Guys)

I cannot remember if I receive this by the revelation of God or if I heard it or perhaps read from somewhere. It has been a great guidance on my life.

These are three things that can cause the downfall of anyone who is in the ministry. These three G's I share with all the ministers I have ordained for ministry in some way or fashion.

The Girls (Guy)

You have to be determined to live a moral life. Immorality has been a downfall for many ministers. I do not care how powerful your ministry is or how great the anointing maybe you on your life. If you do not keep a godly moral stand you would lose your calling and your ministry. Samson one of the most physically strong man probably ever on the planet loss his purpose and destiny because his sexual behaviors. Here's a man who defeated the Philistines with a bone of animal. Yet Samson was brought down by the seductions of one woman. You must be determined as the ministers of the Lord Jesus to keep this area of our life in obedience to the word of God. Physical relationship was created to operate within marriage. Any other way is sin before God. You will be tried and tested in this area and one fashion or the other, but you must have standards that would not change under any circumstance our pressure from any situation.

The Gold

You as a Minister must never be tempted by financial advancement. Never use tricks or gimmicks for the purpose of obtaining finances. Balaam was eager to advance himself in order to receive the award of the King's gold. How many ministers had compromise their stand and integrity in order to prosper financially? It's nice to have a large congregation, but do not compromise your integrity for a piece of silver.

Gehazi the service of Elisha, in my opinion was next to take up the mantle of Elisha. He turned his heart from serving God to desiring the wealth of Naaman. He decided to follow after material gain, loss his place with serving the Lord.

The Glory

It's so important that we give glory and praise to God for all that we accomplish in our ministry and life. We as ministers should never be center of attention, but we should always direct praise and glory to our Lord and Savior. People will tell you how anointing you are, and how great the gifts that God had given you. You must always give the glory to God, and do not be assume by the praises a man. If we are not careful sometime we would have the tendency a magnifying our gifts and talents, forgetting that the source of the talents and gifts come from God. Whatever you do never steal God's glory. You're just the vehicle God is using show forth his glory and his love.

Please take the time to study this closely, and bind the principles to your heart.
