God Living On the Inside of You

Imagine for one moment, how different your life would be if God came and lived with you for an entire week? You would be able to ask him for his wisdom concerning every situation in your household. What if he shared with you how to be successful in your marriage and understanding your children. He could teach you how to conquer the fears and anxieties of life. Envision being successful in your place of employment. The knowledge of the Scriptures would be opened up to you. Your skills, abilities, and gifts would reach there fullest potential, so that it will affect your life and the people around. The joy and peace in your home would be beyond anything you could ever comprehend.

This is something that every born again believer can experience in their life. Jesus returned back to the Father, to send back the Holy Spirit. Which teachs us everything we need to know to be successful in our walk with God. One of the first things we must do is lay aside all of our religious teachings, theologies, and denominational dogma. Let's take a look at what the Bible says, it is written in plain and simple language that everyone can understand without all the so-called different biblical teachings. Jesus never came to teach religion. Religion is the idea and philosophy of men trying to reach God. Religion will always divide and separate people. If you look closely at the scripture, Jesus did not come teaching religion, his main message was the Gospel of the Kingdom. "Behold the kingdom of God is at hand". He did not declare that, the Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Catholics, was at hand. All of these man-made doctrines that have divided the church. In the kingdom of God, there is only one true King, Jesus Christ.

Our focus is specifically concerning the Holy Spirit. So let's take a biblical look at the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is God, the Scripture speaks of God (being the Father), Jesus Christ (the son of God) and the Holy Spirit (which was sent from God.) It is hard for many people to receive and understand that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God sent to live in the believer. Sometimes people refer to the Holy Spirit as an influence, or some type of force, are perhaps something that gives you goosebumps. Very few have come to the knowledge that it is God living in us.

Let us start with the promise Jesus made concerning the Holy Spirit.

"And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you." (Joh 14:16-17)

Jesus promises to pray the Father (or ask the Father) to give us another Comforter (the Holy Spirit is called the Comforter). The word Comforter means helper, intercessor, advocate, stengthener, standby. Also, Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will dwell in us forever, mading his home in us.

If we can learn and accept this promise of Jesus it will be a life changing event. God through Holy Spirit is living in us, teaching us to be successful in life. No longer am I relying on my on ability, knowledge or wisdom, it is the Holy Spirit that is leading and guiding me through life. True success in life is learning to be guided by the Holy Spirit. It is sad, so many believers have failed in living successful, joy filled lives. They have not made use of what God had provided for us to be successful in every area of our life.

How can it be that we struggle as believers just to live our everyday lives? When God has made available to us everything we need to live our lives through his ability. Jesus promises us that when the Holy Spirit comes he will teach us all things. So many times we limit ourself to spiritual things. Life consists of more than just spiritual things. We can face negative opposition at our place of employment. How do we handle the difficulties in our relationships? Where do we find the courage to meet the headwinds of life? It is through the power and knowledge of the Holy Spirit, teaching us how to be successful in every arena of life. Jesus said “I come that you may have life and have it more abundantly.” “but I came to give life—life in all its fullness” (New Century Version).

The Holy Spirit comes to show us how to have an intimate prayer life. You may not know how to pray, but the Holy Spirit, your intercessor knows exactly how to pray and knows the mind of God. So we need to allow the Holy Spirit to pray through us. The Holy Spirit, not only does he teach us to pray, but in our time of weakness, and lack of strength, his power has been made available to us. You shall receive power (ability, strength) after the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) has come. That's why I can say, it is not my strength, but it is the power of the Holy Spirit in me, giving me the strength I need to overcome every negative situation.

No longer should we face life not knowing what to do, because the Holy Spirit has made the wisdom of the Father available to us. Remember in the book of Proverbs were it is stated that the Holy Spirit is the wisdom of God. God used wisdom when he created the heavens and the earth, it was by wisdom he designed the universe. If Wisdom has this type of knowledge do you not think that he could easily give us directions and help us with our daily tribulations?

I am a computer technician and have been doing this for a number of years, my preference is building and designing computer systems. I remember one specific repair I had done everything I could think of, even called a few friends, but nothing seemed to work. In my despair I simply asked the Holy Spirit what is wrong with this computer. The Holy Spirit answered me in such an amazing way. First of all I was very surprised that the Holy Spirit understood computer language (how dumb can I be), then he gave me the specific answer I needed to do the repairs. The Holy Spirit is a better computer technician that I could ever be. There is no area of life that the Holy Spirit doesn't have wisdom and knowledge to help us with.

Daniel relied on the Holy Spirit to teach him how to govern in the Babylonian kingdom. Daniel went through many different kingdom administrations and everyone sought him out because of his wisdom. They all knew that Daniel had the spirit of God in him giving him wisdom to handle complicated government problems. Plus the Holy Spirit gave him interpretations of dreams and visions. What would happen if our government officials would begin to rely on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to govern the country?

Jesus has authority over nature. He walk on water, stop the raging storm. “Peace be still”. Every miracle, healing and wonder Jesus was through the authority of the Holy Spirit. That same Spirit is available to every person who is a citizen of the kingdom of God. Jesus promises that the work that I do, you shall do it also. How? By the work of the Holy Spirit (Spirit) that is now in you.

Living from the inside out. This is what we must learn to do. We had depended on our own wisdom and knowledge to do the work of God. Only to see failure. God himself by the Holy

Spirit is living on the inside of us, is ready to move supernaturally in our lives.

We need to let him out. We see the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus.

How powerful it was in the life of God’s people in the book of Acts.

How extraordinary miracle in the ministry of Paul. Peter, who raises the dead. What need is the release the authority of the Spirit in the life of the believer one again.
